Groceries
Butchers – The best meat is from the local butchers, our favourite is Jaime’s in Benijófar.
Markets – see Things to do.
Supermarkets – Casa Correra – Carrefour, Hiperber, Mercadona & Lidl are all within walking distance.
Casa Corremos – Mercadona is a 2 minute walk. English butchers also a short walk. Please note both will be closed on Sundays. Please ask about our Welcome Packs if you are travelling on a Sunday & need some essentials for when you arrive.
Restaurants & cafés
Café Roma – good Italian coffee & tostada, located by the fountains facing the harbour.
Blue Iguana – simple Spanish café, good lunch bar-top tapas, 500m walk towards Carrefour from Casa Correra.
Shannon’s Irish Bar – good cocktails, all drinks including Spanish & international, good coffee, friendly, large terrace, regular events. There are several restaurants on the same stretch serving good food at reasonable prices including Indian, Italian, Mediterranean, English & Mexican.
Los Granainos – Spanish meat & cheese, quality produce, pintxo/tapa included with drink, family run, just out of town at the end of the yellow brick road. They also have a very popular stall at Torrevieja market.
The best tapas & pintxo we have found in town (so far) have been at El callejón, Los Zamoranos & Tasca Nueva Bahía.
El Meulle – seafront restaurant, good service & excellent seafood.
Beet – excellent vegetarian / vegan restaurant located in town. Booking recommended.
Las Columnas – seafront restaurant, good Mediterranean cooking in a smart setting with great views of the Med.
La Herradura – traditional Spanish restaurant with excellent cooking at a good price, set in a converted barn, regular Spanish entertainment for a traditional style evening. Booking recommended.
Villa Salada – a short walk from Casa Corremos. Dinner, with entertainment of Horse & Flamenco shows every Saturday.
